The need for math teachers is clearly greater than ever.

We got a letter from the IRS today saying our taxes were wrong. We put: $48,472 - $7,000 = $41,472.

They informed us that we had subtracted incorrectly, and that the correct answer was clearly $41,472 and not $41,472. Luckily, our error has not resulted in any additional tax owed, but sadly, nor do we get any additional refund.

Ironically, there is an error on the tax form, which we picked out when trying to understand this. It is not the error pointed to by the IRS. (And it also has no effect on the final tax numbers).

UM, WOW. I don't know how to digest this information. Entry deserves to be public!
